I followed the instructions given on your website and visited the link and downloaded the skins. I had to copy them
into the skin folder in VLan. When I tried to use one using the interface it took me to My Documents folder
and gave me no option but to save "something" into it. I tried moving the folders from the VLan in Programs
to My Documents folder, but it made no difference. I tried to select one of them through the interface, but when
I did this I caused my VLC player to lock up and I had to uninstall it, as I couldn't do anything with it. I have removed
any trace of the skins, and have reinstalled a fresh VLC player download from your website. I ran Norton Utilties before
I downloaded just be sure that I got all the mess left behind cleaned up. When I tried changing from the
"natural" skin the "other skin" included in the player, it crashed. I guess I didn't get everything fixed back
to normal..... (
I wished you had given more detailed instructions. I am a novice to this player. I don't like messing
around with the Program files in my computer. I have learned the hard way in the past by deleting
a folder and having a real headache afterwards. I have a new computer now and don't want to ruin
this one.
This is one person that will have to do without the "exotic" skin thing.....
P.S. Another thing, when they are in the folder, you have no way of knowing unless you have
made previous notes as to what you may get once you select the skin. I guess it kind of like
Russian Rouilette, just hoping you won't get the loaded one.
