Skin change botched

Postby aether » 01 Feb 2009 10:00

Hi.

I changed the skin on my VLC player. I thought this would be pretty easy.

But the skin I picked had tiny buttons, and none of them would get me to the Tools tab that I'd previously used to switch skins. So I seemed stuck there.

Soooo, . . . I just deleted the offending skin from the VLC Skins folder. I figured that the player would revert to its default skin. Well, that was not what happened.

My player is jammed. When I try to open it, I get a pop-up telling me that I need to pick a skin. I do. The pop-up closes. But no player. I guess I can go get the skin I didn't like and put it back and start from there. Is there an easier way to do this? And, if not, once I get back to the skin I don't want, how can I find the Tools tab if the new skin doesn't have one?

Thanks for reading this. A few words will probably be all I need to fix this. If not, I can just reinstall the player.

Thanks,

Andy
