Creating a VLC skin

Hello there! I just want to ask question, how I can create a VLC skin? Because my initial problem was that there is a problem when I install the jre 6 there is an error message that unknown host java.net.. And is there any tutorial on how to make a vlc skin? That's all thank you very much!

The error message probably comes because you've blocked the program from connecting to the internet, as it looks for updates on startup.
But normally you can ignore that error and work on as if nothing happened.
