VLC 2.0.1: Not possible to change Audio- Outputdevice :(

Postby M*I*B » 23 Mar 2012 19:35

Hello there from germany,

since the 2.0.1 is out Its not possible to chose a DirectX Device :-|

If I click to Preferences and use DirectX Audio Output the Devicefield is empty. In V2.0.0 there was no problem to use my extern MAYA44 as Output- Device but now it doesnt work anymore.

I went back to 2.0.0 and then all it's fine.

... may its not a feature, its a BUG, hu?!

(sorry about my ugly english ...)

In simple preferences? Use advanced prefs for that.
Or use a 2.0.2 NB

... TY for the link to the NB ...

Now I can chose any other device, but that havent any effect. Ever the sound comes over the WIN standard output and not over the one I have select (simple and advanced)...

same problems here. tried 201 x64, 201 x86 and the 202 from above. also tried setting video output to something different and tried with admin-rights. no effect.

i can choose all my devices, but the vlc always uses my normal "win-standard" speakers.
(scenario: speakers => cod, headphones => music)

also btw: going back to 200 everything works as it should.
