VLC 2.0.1 Disable proxy for local net

Postby joeusercz » 23 Mar 2012 10:46

With VLC 2, it no longer accepts the option "--no-http-use-IE-proxy" - instead, it tries to connect through the IE configured proxy instead of trying to connect directly to the http source. In my case, I am connecting to a satellite receiver which works fine when no proxy is configured in IE, but if there is a proxy configured (even with "Bypass server for local connections" is selected) vlc tries to connect through the proxy. I use both vlc and the browser too often to constantly switch between proxy/no-proxy configurations.
