Another issue.
For 2.0 and 2.0.1
Also when selecting another hardware sound playback ie my external audio card (Creative X-Fi Titanium) swapping it to the Built in hdmi audio card(AMD 7970 3gb card) you had to restart VLC before it selected your desired choice as main audio output.
Yet another issue.
Ever since we are in twoflower? 2.0/2.0.1 the volume up/down takes ages before it goes to actions. You can put volume to zero/0 % via scroll and there will go like 2-3 seconds before the audio is gone and vice versa.
Update for the issue about sound swapping
i investigated the vlcrc file under appdata, as you can see in 2.0.1 the "-name" (without quotes) is missing after directx-audio-device should be directx-audio-device-name=

After making those changes i can confirm that i can play audio on other devices, i just have to manual edit the vlcrc file everytime i start VLC player, kinda annoying but for now i gotta live with it until you guys fix it :=)
Now please investigate the other issues i stated since they are REALLY annoying, aswell
