What's wrong with volume control in 2.x.x?

When i change volume in 1.x.x it changes immediately.
In 2.0.1 it takes for about 0.5 second to change it.
Why is that?
Win 7x64

Known limitation with DirectX audio output since nobody bothered to update the volume code to match the new AOUT design.

Excuse me, but is there any workaround atm, or just wait for the next version?
One more bug, i wanna mention:
In video settings i have crop 16:9 set, so each IPTV channel (which is 4:3) is stretched when VLS goes fullscreen.
But some channels don't stretch, they stay in center with black borders on sides (l,r,t,b). I need to choose "Crop" from menu once again and only now they are stretched, although "crop 16:9" is already set in context menu. But it appears there two times.
16:9
16:10
4:3
xxx
16:9 - again

Waveout can be used, but it doesn't work in all setup.

Crop doesn't work correctly with all videos, there is trac ticket for that.

These two issues are still in 2.0.2, (crop and sound) sadly.

@Jimbo77
Install the patch posted in ticket 5654. The lag is then less than 200ms:
