A-B repeat function

I'm using the VLC player to transcribe guitar solos and rhythm part from different videos and the value of the A-B Repeat function is immeasurable for this.

There are 2 problems that I see with the player as it stands now and I'm hoping someone know of a solution. If not, it would be something for the development team to tweak in future releases.

The problems are that
1) when you set the A repeat point, there is a delay in the position that is set and you have guess at how far in advance to click to set the A position. Until you get used to this, it will take several attempts before its correct.

2) Related to this same problem, that, once set, there doesn't seem to be a way to fine tune the A and B positions, either forward or backward. I also use Reed-Kotler's Transkriber software for slowing down music and it allows these repeat points to be moved as needed, which is a great tool in transcribing.

If anyone knows of a solution to either of these, much appreciation in advance.

1. With videos accurate+fast seeking is only allowed in keyframe boundaries. I don't know how well VLC works with audio files with A->B
2. Positions could be adjustable (that would require some code and interface changes), but because of 1., the accuracy wouldn't be perfect with videos.
