Hello,
OK, I still use my not so new P4 machine using XP(home edition), but I never had any problems using the VLC-Player.
If an other player could not play something, VLC mostly could.
I use a Full-HD flatscreen television in 1920x1080 screenmode, but playing media with this resolution did give some problems. Part of the screen froze regularly and loose blocks flickered on the screen. Maybe a much too 'light' videocard? So I simply did not play HD media in Full-Screen. Full Stop.
But now, a lot more trouble!
Last week or so, as always, I updated the VLC-Player on my computer after the announcement that there was an update.
No problem so far, until I switched to Full-Screen Mode. The screen just freezes and not only with HD media, but with all media. I just cannot play anything in Full-screen any more. The Audio just keeps playing with a frozen screen.
And when I click on the screen to swith back, sometimes nothing happens and I have to brutely close the application.
Is the new VLC-Player 'too heavy' for my old P4 3.2Ghz 2Gb XP machine with Radeon 9200 Series (PS1.4, SS1.1 249Mhz, 128MB 200Mhz, AGP 3.00) Video Card?
Can I downgrade again to the old VLC-Player?
