Media-Info Page sometimes is empty

Sometimes Media-Info is just empty. No Stats, no Codec-Info etc. Sometimes it works fine. What cn I do? I already had Nightly Builds before 2.0 and now deinstalled 2.0 and reinstalled but without finding a solution.

Any Idea please?

Yes, it happens to me too. And are missing also some video context menu (Audio, Video, Subtitles menus)
It always happens when I double click a video file. VLC starts and play the video but with those problems

If I stop and play again the video (without close VLC) the bugs disappear

No, it happens with all files but not always.

I noticed that if I double-click in explorer to open a file and VLC is already open playing another video, the new video has not the issue

For now I can say every 1st run it shows empty pages, but the next dropped file will be ok.

Does it matter how you open the file? (drag&drop vs. double click)

I have exactly the same phenomenon as described here:

viewtopic.php?f=14&t=98664&p=330536#p330536

Only happens when double-clicking a Media-File and not using the native style Interface!

Is this a bug?

1) I am also not using native style (huh, could this be leading to the bug?)
2) It makes no difference if you doubleclick or drag'n'drop. :-(

I would say yes, because when using native style interface everything works fine!
2) It makes no difference if you doubleclick or drag'n'drop. :-(
Indeed! Only when opening a media file from within VLC it just works fine and for double-click and drag´n´drop, if
you skip to the start of the video the menu is also as it has to be!?

Very strange!

Guido

So you only have this issue with Skins2 interface?

For me this happens only with custom skins (tried 5 different ones)!

This is a second issue with the same origin : the qt4 main input manager failing to initialize correctly
(see also viewtopic.php?f=2&t=98332&p=329017#p329017)

A patch was applied and backported on Feb 21st. Recent nightly builds should already fix this problem.
