Jump to a specific time - VLC 2.0

I can't really find an easy way to jump to a specific time anymore ever since upgrading to VLC 2.0. In VLC 1 I could just double click the time which would open the jump to a specific time box. Well 2.0 doesn't have that time box. So I looked for another way and see under Playback that you can press Ctrl+T to open up the box, however it only seems to work after you've opened it through the menu at least once before. Pressing Ctrl+T after VLC has been just opened doesn't do anything.

Is there anyway to get ctrl+t working or get the double click on the video time function back in VLC 2?

As you said, short cut key for jumping to specific time is not exist on VLC 2.0.0, but still you can do it with double click on the time.
Can you enable status bar? (View -> Status Bar)

You can double click on all time info (both side of the timebar) and in the status bar, if displayed.
