Not a problem, just wondering if VLC supports something? I've been downloading some music off hdtracks.com and some of it is 192kHz/24bit. The audio portion of my video card supports this, as does my A/V receiver, but can VLC play it back in FULL 192kHz/24bit?

It should. What format is that?

They're in FLAC.

That should be passed as (L)PCM by audio device, so it should work. Report back if it doesn't.

It's playing them back, but my computer upsamples everything to 192kHz/24bit anyway, so not sure if VLC is playing them back in full resolution, or downsampling them before the video/sound card upsamples them.

Open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2), then start playback. The message dialog tells what is happening.
