Default Settings Trouble.

Postby scottagro » 09 Feb 2012 17:40

Hello, this is my first time posting here, and maybe this issue is absurdly simple to solve, but here's my trouble:

Let's say I'm playing a video and I adjust the volume to 50% or 20% or 0%...or I play it in fullscreen. Sometimes after I close out that video while it's under those settings, the next time I open a video (by double-clicking on it in a folder or on the desktop) the new video will stay under those same settings I closed the last video under. It doesn't matter if I alter the settings for this new video (adjust it from 50% volume to 100%, or click and drag the video to a smaller window-size), if I close out this video with altered settings, the next video I open will open in the settings I had from the FIRST video. What the heck is going on here?

Maybe there is a crashed vlc.exe running in the background?

This sounds exactly like the settings I want. What version are you using?

Volume autosave (which doesn't work correctly in all situations)

Code: Select all

--qt-autosave-volume, --no-qt-autosave-volume Automatically save the volume on exit (default disabled) Automatically save the volume on exit (default disabled)
Tools -> Preferences (Show settings: All) Interfaces -> Main interface -> Qt

This worked like a peach, sir. I thank you.
