WMP usurping default

Postby Luftmensch » 26 Jan 2012 18:44

I have VLC 1.1.11, running on Windows 7 64-bit. VLC is set as default for all media files. I also have Windows Media Player 12 (which I need in order to stream to my UPnP radio); it is not set as default player. However, WMP is constantly trying to replace VLC as default MP3 and AVI player; I get several warnings an hour about this (just had another in the course of writing this). Is there any way to disable this, while keeping the features of WMP that I need?

Change it in the control panel.
