--input-record-path (default record path) issue
Posted: 16 Jan 2012 20:03
I am using VLC 1.1.11 The Luggage version. According to wiki http://wiki.videolan.org/VLC_command-line_help, I can use the --input-record-path option to change the default record location in vlc config.
VLC config in my XP -> C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\vlc\vlcrc.
--input-record-path=<string>
Record directory or filename
Directory or filename where the records will be stored
But after changing it, it still saves my recording to C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\My Documents\My Music.
Also the wiki below mentioned that the default record path can be changed via UI, but I can't locate it. I changed the "Show Settings" option to "All" but I still don't see Files under Input & Codecs.

Other Notes
You can change the default record path for the video by going to TOOLS, PREFERENCES, INPUT & CODECS, and change the record directory.

Files: Record Directory or Filename (enter a path such as c:\video)
Please let me know how to change the default record path. Thank you!
