Hello everyone,
Because of my working tasks,
I have to test my HLS(HTTP Live Streaming) signal from WowZa Server ,
so I try to use VLC Player to watch the video.
Some forums mentioned that VLC can play HLS videos ,
but I used VLC 1.3.0-git-20111224-0002 Rincewind version to play HLS video,
it seems don't work?

Did some one can help me?

My steps:
File -> Open Network Stream -> http://WowZa IP Address:1935/live/mpegts.stream/playlist.m3u8

And this signal sometimes work on our Set-Top-Box, but it fails on Windows.

Could you test newer builds? There were many updates to DASH/HLS recently.

I still could not play the HLS video, even the Apple's example .

I found the same problem as the OP using VLC 2.0.0, viewing an m3u8 file created by VLC's own livehttp sout module. VLC would queue up hundreds of spurious playlist items with names that consisted of random Unicode junk, and naturally fail to play them. The nightly build you linked fixes the problem. Let me know if there's any diagnostic information you'd like from the broken version.

I have download the "vlc-2.1.0-git-20120226-2308-win32.exe", and play the hls stream "http://devimages.apple.com/iphone/sampl ... opall.m3u8", but it does not work， there is still the random unicode junk, Can you help me?

Yes, I have test with the latest builds-2.0.0, but it does the same problem.

It works ..."somehow", but with some hickups.
I have some errors messages like this. When this error appears, the playback stops for a few seconds...

I'm using vlc-2.1.0-git-20120321-0013-win32.exe
and when i try to see hls adaptive streaming.
