VLC 1.2 volume change delay

I've noticed in VLC 1.2 when you change the volume it is no longer instant. I'd estimate that it takes about 0.5 seconds for the volume to change.

I'm using Windows 7 x64 and VLC media player 1.2.0-pre3 Twoflower. I've checked with .mkv files with AC3 audio and .avi files with mp3 audio. Let me know if I can help in any way.

Yes.
Try to use the Waveout output module to see if it is better.

OK, then, someone needs to improve DirectX output.

Would you like me to submit a but report? Also, should it be a 1.2 release blocker? or 1.2 bug?

It isn't a blocker, since it doesn't break anything.
