What setting I need?

Postby vidjim » 10 Nov 2011 08:45

Hi,

I run the 1.1.11 version and I would like to know if there is a setting/option I can chose so every time I watch a video stored in my disk, VLC will automaticly resize to the dimensions/resolution of my screen.
Now some videos have different resolution than my screen and when VLC starts its window is larger than my screen therefore I must resize the VLC window and make it smaller in order to watch the video.
Could this happen automatically with a pre-setting?

Thx

Option is

Code: Select all

--autoscale, --no-autoscale Video Auto Scaling (default enabled) Let the video scale to fit a given window or fullscreen. (default enabled)
which can be also found from Tools -> Preferences (Show settings: All) Video

OK.

I went to Tools -> Preferences (Show settings: All) Video but I can't find the
"Let the video scale to fit a given window or fullscreen."

Please, could you be more specific?

Thanks

The option in GUI is called Video Auto Scaling.
