Bugs in 1.1.11.0

Postby TheKiller » 03 Nov 2011 22:46

Hello, in version 1.1.11.0, there is a bug that doesnt make the task bar dissapear. Sometimes.... You have to either click the vlc tab from it, or the bar with the volume, play button etc. Also, sometimes when you double click the video to fullscreen, it wont do anything.. or it does with dellay. This is an older bug, but it seems to apear more often than before..

I am under Windows XP SP2.
By the way, i think it would be a nice idea to get the useragent attached, like on mozillazine.org.
I could probably try to figure out how to do it if you want.

IIRC XP SP2 won't be supported in VLC 1.2.0

EDIT:
Wrong info above, minimum requirement is SP2 for Windows XP with VLC 1.2.0.
* The Windows version will only work with Windows XP SP2 or later.
Windows 2000 SP4, Windows XP < SP2, Windows 2003 SP0 are now unsupported.

Would anyone mind answering that?

Also, why isnt SP2 Supported anymore, or why its the minimum version. Is SP3 Supported?

http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/IIRC

Requirement changes are usually related to contrib, core or plugin changes. E.g. certain version of library requires certain Windows component that was added at some point. Most likely one can still build VLC 1.2.0 that will work in XP without any service packs with some code changes.

Well i come to notice that it still has a bug in the Win7-64bit version.

Normally after you exit fullscreen the window should look like this:

But sometimes it looks like this:

Please look into it :)

There won't be any fixes for VLC 1.1.x, next release will be VLC 1.2.0 (or 2.0)

Thats not important, i was just informing you about the Bugs from the current version.
Will this bug be solved into the next version, are you aware of it?

I don't have Windows 7 setup, so I cannot comment about if the bug is fixed or not.
