Heres the short version

VLC 1.1.11

Watching a vid, minimised it to do something else, maximised it and the audio was still running but all the image showed was my desktop background.

Maximising to fullscreen brings the image back but what the frick is going on?
I've never seen VLC do this ever before in any version?

I'd upload a screenshot but I've got no clue how to add an image into a post.

Try different video output module

changed it to windows GDI. fixed it.

is there any way of making the advanced menu stay the default one? no matter how many times i click save it ALWAYS defaults back to simple.
