Same problem here.... All the time 1.1.10 version of VLC media player crashes (Win7 ultimate 32-bit) when viewing TS streams (direct from satellite) on my Dreambox.
I reinstalled 1.1.9 for the time being until there is a solution. This version to me is rather stable.... But of course I would like to enjoy the other benefits of the newer version.
What happened in 1.1.10 that made it unstable????

To all developers... please come with a quick solution!!!

Thanks,

King Otto

There is a bug in libavcodec which causes crashes. Hopefully next VLC release will fix this. You can try with other MPEG-2 decoder

Code: Select all

vlc --codec=libmpeg2

What does below imply, is VLC_help suggesting to manually select another codec to solve crashing
Code: Select all
vlc --codec=libmpeg2
