does "marquee" option support unicode character?

Postby K.T » 14 Jun 2011 05:08

hi all,

we want to use "marquee" option to display some asia(chinese, japanese, etc) characters on the screen, but only get some "blocks" on it. and have tried many options.
is there any hidden options/commands?

thanks!

platform: windows 7 x86 english, VLC 1.1.10

(we test with subtitles and it can support, but we want live input)

Hmm, the issue is probably the font used is not Unicode enabled.
Can you share the logs, please?

we've downgrade to 1.1.9, and all things goes well. no special settings required except font.

and we can reproduce the errors (with 1.1.10). tried many times.

thanks.

Sure, don't share the logs, so the problem will not get solved!
