Dear All,
I am using network Camera to stream H.264 720p video from Network to VLC player that runs on my Laptop with windows Vista. I used VLC 1.1.9 version, here video stops after few seconds. I tested the same stream on 1.0.3 version of the VLC, here I can able to play the video stream for long time. My question is-
1. Do I need any other support for playing 720p on 1.1.9 version?
2. Is 1.0.3 VLC version supports 720p resolution?

Thanks in advance
Jay

What streaming protocol the camera uses? RTSP has some issues between different VLC versions so certain devices might not work with certain VLC versions.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I use RTSP as streaming protocol & it uses SDP to define the video session description. I have mentioned the same bellow.

v=0
o=StreamingServer 3256875437 1047525357000 IN 0.0.0.0
s=mpeg4live.mp4
c=IN IP4 0.0.0.0
b=AS:2048
a=control:rtsp://*/mpeg4live.mp4
t=0 0
a=isma-compliance:1,1.0,1
a=range:npt=0-
m=video 0 RTP/AVP 109
b=AS:2048
a=control:rtsp://*/mpeg4live.mp4/video
a=rtpmap:109 H264/90000
a=cliprect:0,0,352,240
a=framerate:10
a=I_frame_interval:10
a=fmtp:109 profile-level-id=42a01f;packetisation-mode=0;sprop-parameter-sets=J0KgH54tAKALYgAA,aFOOIA
m=audio 0 RTP/AVP 0
a=control:rtsp://*/mpeg4live.mp4/audio

In VLC 1.1.9 it plays for few seconds & stops. I am not sure why it is stoping.
Best regards
Jay

I would guess it is live555 issue, open Tools -> Messages (set verbosity to 2) before playback and it should complain more when problems happen.
