Watching TV in VLC Player

Postby Marnix36 » 12 Apr 2011 12:49

Hi,

I have two questions about watching live television in VLC Player:

Question1)
I want to watch live TV in VLC Player. I have got a Terratec Cynergy stick but I do not know which data I have to put in VLC to watch television. I already checked the Terratec manual but cannot find anything.
I executed the following steps: Open VLC --> Media --> Open Capture Device
Capture Mode: DVB DirectShow
Device Selection: DVB-T
But what do I have to fill in at Transponder/Multiplex Frequency and in Transponder Symbol Rate???

Ik am located in the Netherlands, in the city Nijmegen.

Question 2)
Does someone know how to add new radio/tv streamings in VLC?
In the playlist --> Internet there are some radio and tv channels but I want to add another tab with new channels.

Thanks!

Greetings Marnix

You can check the right values from other DVB-tools or check them out from web page of the DVB-T network provider.
