VLC http interface wont work?

Postby danstar10 » 03 Apr 2011 19:20

Hello,

I am trying to get a VLC remote to work on my android phone and I have tried everything.

I opened up the console and found it was printing this when I click add interface > web interface

Anyone any ideas if somwthing is going wrong here, and if so what and how to fix it? Tried turning off all firewalls etc.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply.

Would you be able to assist me in what I am doing wrong? All the guides I found mentioned I should put 8080 in the 'host address' box

What should I change to get it working?

Thanks

Why have you set the host address 8080?

8080 is the streaming port... The IP of the computer on the lan can be determined via opening a CMD window and typing in ipconfig /all
