I have been trying to determine why VLC audio has been skipping every few seconds lately when playing avi files.
I am using VLC 1.1.7 ,Windows 7,i5 CPU and Skype 5.1.0.112
I have found it to be some sort of conflict between VLC and Skype. When Skype is running the audio skips when I close Skype there is no skipping.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Change audio output module in preferences.
