VLC Media Player 1.1.7 bug must abort.

I have tried to install the upgrade several times. The very second I click the install button a small window comes up telling me to abort. It gives no reason why.
I am using Win XP SP2. So hats the deal ?

Uninstall VLC. reboot.
Download and Install VLC from videolan.org
