Streaming VLC through file share device.

Postby CC2 » 29 Jan 2011 03:19

Can it be done?

I have been using VLC for two weeks to play videos on my computer . It is only a 1.86GHZ but VLC will play MPEG 4 video smoothly.

I am confused as to if it is possible to use the VLC to play my videos through a file share device.

I have searched the forums and have tried to follow through the instructions with no luck, the jargon has got me confused.

windowsxp
Samsung BDC5500 Bluray.
Servioo file share software.

VLC doesn't have uPNP support in Windows, so it won't work.
