VLC will not play video in a DCR file

I have just downloaded a videogame in DCR format (that is, Adobe Shockwave Media File). I opened it with 1.1.5 but only audio is heard. What can I do to make it play both video and audio? I'm using XP Professional. Thanks!

Some sample you could share to us? Or check out what tool called Mediainfo says about that file.

(It's legit; I got the link from the DownThemAll! Firefox addon)

You can open it with Firefox or Opera, but also with other applications; see

VLC cannot playback those files. It wrongly identifies them as MP3 files and tries to playback them.
avcodec debug: detected format: mp3
main debug: selecting program id=0
avcodec debug: adding es: audio codec = mpga
avcodec debug: AVFormat supported stream
avcodec debug: - format = mp3 (MPEG audio layer 2/3)
avcodec debug: - start time = 0
avcodec debug: - duration = 601688167

Pity. Maybe in future updates?

I don't think so. Flash and Shockwave supports are too hard to implement.
