Playback choppy 1.1.5

I thought I posted here my problem TWICE, but don't see it. Someone delete? Not sure.

VLC 1.1.5. I only use it to play music. Playing certain songs are choppy at the start. It's always the same songs. Playing them in other media players and it's fine. Running Windows XP Pro.

Recently built a new system about a month ago, My system specs:

AMD Quad-Core Phenom 9750 2.4Ghz processor
4GB Crucial DDR6400
500GB Western Digital, 7200RPM, 16MB Cache
Radeon HD 6850 1GB
750W power supply

Overheating NEVER an issue. I have 6 120mm fans in the case (5 on the case, 1 on CPU) and 1 140mm (power supply blows out bottom of case).

Try VLC 1.1.4

Thanks, that cleared up the problem.

How can I get the 1.1.4.1 update for Win32, though? If I check for updates it'll only show 1.1.5 and I think the .1 update was a security thing.

I seem to have the same problem but when playing movies (avi) - I get jerking image and sound. Using 1.14 is ok.

All I see on that page is 1.1.4, which I already went back to. I remember there being an important security update 1.1.4.1.
