Can files in Docs & Setttings be moved to Program folder?

Postby videobruce » 30 Nov 2010 13:33

Those three files including the .ini file, can those be moved to the VLC program folder so they are all together? I 'm surprised a program like this would do this. being open source & having the ability to have a self install version. I would never expect that.

The D&S folder just plain sucks. Scattering files all over the place. :x

You can set the config location and file name via
--config=<string> use alternate config file

%appdata% is best thing for settings. First it allows custom settings for every user. And on Vista and 7 you cannot write to program files easily anymore.
