Editing Metadata & saving EQ settings; neither were saved.

I went through and edited dozens of mp3 metadata listings due to other user errors, only to find out none of them 'stuck'. Yes, I did "Save" the changes for each song, but upon opening up the list again, all were lost as if I never saved any. I checked for 'read only' and it wasn't and I login as a Admin. I tried it a 2nd time to a few listings and the same thing.

Next, I 'tweaked' the EQ settings only to find out the next time I opened up VLC none of the changes 'stuck'. All reverted back to 0db.

Are these 'bugs' or something else??

and
Has anyone successfully changed metadata??

I don't use VLC as metadata editor, so I am not even sure if it will write metadata to files.

If you choose information, it appears that it allows changing the data since it gives you the command to save changes.

If you open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) before you open meta data editor and save, does it complain something?
