Repetitve font cache rebuilding

Not sure if this is a bug, or what.
Every time I load VLC and play a video for the first time since it's been launched, there's a pop-up with a progress bar for about a min or so that says "Font cache rebuilding..."
It doesn't cause any problems, but I figured I ought to report it just in case.

Yeah I've just recently started having this problem. Hope someone can fix it.

I had this same problem with VLC 1.1.3. It was getting a bit annoying.
I made a clean installation of VLC 1.1.4 (by removing the old VLC user files) and the problem is gone. Maybe it was an issue with version 1.1.3 or maybe the user files generated in previous versions had something to do.

I have 1.1.4 and I have this problem. Maybe uninstall completely, then reinstall.

I am having the same problem with the most recent version of VLC, except it never finishes. It keeps saying "Rebuilding Font Cache", but never gets to the point where it is rebuilt.

I am having the same issue with 1.1.5, except it doesn't stop. It opens up the 'Building font cache' window, but the window doesn't close, the bar just keeps cycling across the window, never making any progress.

Sadly "rebuilding fonts cache" has rendered VLC USELESS... Please someone get rid of it.
Luckily you may download version 1.00 on File Hippo...
