i seem to have black squares and long lines in vlc

any ideas

Same thing happen with smplayer but not mpc-hc

Graphics Card GTX 460 mointer is Asus m236

Resoultion 1920x1080 connect via hdmi to dvi also my Graphics Card Drivers are update

this only seem to happen with certian mp4 and avi's i have if i switch to opengl things work but when i switch ratio to 16:9 it disable the aero effects which is kind of annoying when going in and out of full screen

seem that i lose aero in opengl if the aspect ratio is set to 16:9 i will also state that the nvidia control panel shows the mointer as a hdtv

are you sure i just try vlc from trunk aka vlc 1.20 and the issue seem to disapper wonder what changed sorry for bumping an old thread

jeez either vlc improve opengl wise or nvidia have fixed there opengl issues as i no longer lose aero going full screen also the graphics glitches are gone in opengl

IIRC some OpenGL commands used in VOUT module have changed between 1.1.x and 1.2.x so driver bug might not show in other version even if it shows up in another.
