VLC Media Player 1.1.4

Although I appreciate the value of VLC Media Player, I have no wish to have "Add to VLC's Media Player's Playlist" added to my right-click context menu.

I have looked in Preferences>Interface but cannot seem to find a way to remove it.

Please advise.

Thanks

I have just found this thread:

I can't believe that with all the different options in Preferences, you have to do a registry hack to get rid of the "Add to VLC's Playlist" from the context menu.

Come on folks, this should be a basic option.

Don't do that when installing.

The simplest way to fix your problem is to uninstall VLC to remove all context menus. Then re-install VLC being careful to watch the options while installing.

Download my short tutorial with screenshots:

You have to enter a number in a box and click Submit to download it.

Registry editing is not the only way to get rid of VLC from context menus.

This way is far easier and simpler.
