Postby MrWuffke » 04 Sep 2010 11:31

VLC works fine but in recordings from DVB-C in High Definition (HD) it doesn't show the playing time.Is there any trick or what can i do?
Please no advice to change the ending because i want to keep the high quality.
Thank you all in advance!

Nope. VLC cannot parse duration of TS or M2TS files.

You can mux the file without encoding. So you won't lose any quality. For example turn it into Matroska (e.g. with MKVtoolnix and use its mkvmerge GUI).
