I wonder what is transferred when sending a crash report.
1. Does it include the filename crashing?
2. Does it include other config like recent items?
3. Why is there no info on this, and no option for disabling this?

so it will reveal your OS and VLC version, install directory of VLC and Windows, some loaded VLC plugins, crashing code location and register values. Also file is uploaded using ftp protocol so your IP address might be stored somewhere between your computer and VLC server.

You can open the %appdata%\vlc\crashdump file with any text editor if you are interested about the content.

thank you very much. my %appdata%\vlc directory has no such folder. i only see an "art" folder. but that's okay.
