Buzzing Sound upon VLC player Closing

Hi,
I've been using vlc for quite some time now and love it. Recently, I have encountered an issue and couldn't a similar topic here. Whenever I playback a movie or audio file, I get a loud buzzing sound ONLY when I close the app. This does not happen with any other media playback programs. The buzzing will stop if I launch ANY other audio or video file, with any other app ( including any browser playback, such as you tube) and with vlc. I'm quite perplexed at this.
