Hi,
I've been using vlc for quite some time now and love it. Recently, I have encountered an issue and couldn't a similar topic here. Whenever I playback a movie or audio file, I get a loud buzzing sound ONLY when I close the app. This does not happen with any other media playback programs. The buzzing will stop if I launch ANY other audio or video file, with any other app ( including any browser playback, such as you tube) and with vlc. I'm quite perplexed at this.
If this is in the wrong area in the forums (NEWB) for this let me know please, and also if this issue has been already addressed, please link to the topic.

Try to change audio output in the preferences.
