VLC for Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi,
I have visited the videolan download page to get a windows 64-bit version of VLC madia player but I could only find the 32-bit version available.
I have tired to install it on my machine but I received a message saying: You need to install a 64-bit version of the programme.
Is there a 64-bit version available?

You shouldn't get that message. Many of us install on 64-bit machines
