Recorded video playback with choppy audio

Postby Steupz » 27 Jul 2010 01:04

Hi, thanks for a great program.

Now for my issue... I've noticed that when I try to record a snippet of video from a larger avi file it plays back with audio drops. However, if I upload that exact file on YouTube it plays flawlessly on my system.
I assume that means VLC player itself has a problem playing it's audio. I haven't tested the file with WMP because WMP won't play the recorded video/audio.

I am on 1.1.1, using Windows 7 64 bit and an ATI Radeon 4200 card with Catalyst 10.7

One more thing; the slider doesn't work on the recorded video. Is that usually the case?

It is with AVI videos at least, since VLCs AVI muxer is broken, so record button produces files which are against specs.
