Problem to play Audio CD with vlc 1.1.1

Hello,
I have updated my vlc to 1.1.1 and since 1.1.0 I cannot play any Audio CDs. I have a WIn7 (64 bit) system. Is there a problem with 64 bit? Or is there a general problem with vlc?

I can play audio streams from radio stations without any problems

What happens when you open an Audio CD?

Probably it's the same problem that is described here:

The problem still persists after updating to 1.1.1. VLC terminates immediately after attempting to open an Audio CD with default parameters (i.e. starting with the null track), except for two cases: a) it's the very first run of a fresh VLC install; b) it's the very first run of VLC after full reset.

@j-b:
What do you mean with "open an Audio CD"?

I tried the following possibility:
1. Start via auto play: vlc was open but nothing else happened
2. Select one track from windows explorer: vlc was open but nothing else happened
3. Select the whole cd via vlc: An error message occurs, which tells it could be opened. (BTW: the cd was available ;) )

Best regards
Rudi

I have downloaded the latest version 1.1.2. but now the whole vlc crashes. A message box occurs which tells that the developer team is informed

Thanks. This helped. Using VLC takes some training and effort, but it's still my favorite player due to all the formats it can handle plus that it isn't so cumbersome for my rather old processor to handle.
