VLC Skips first few frames when playing

It's very hard to explain, but I'll try. When I use VLC to playback audio (And probably even videos), I never get to hear the first few frames of the file. Lets say we have a file where the audio already starts at 0.0 seconds. VLC only starts at around 0.5 seconds (VLC skips the first 0.5 seconds), so it sounds like it skips a small part in the beginning. This can be a tad bit annoying for my audio files. unless the audio has a 0.5 second silence to begin with. For the rest, it runs normally

If I play the same file on lets say Windows Media Player, it runs normally and the first frames are not being skipped

Has anyone else experienced similar things like this?

Dunno if anyone understands what I'm trying to explain, but I might be able to record a comparison of VLC and W. Mediaplayer's output if you wanna hear the difference

Known issue. Might be a bit better in VLC 1.2.0
