I am using VLC Media Player exclusively and yet I can not find a way to set the VLC as the default player. One time I went through the Control Panel and set them all by hand. it took an age to do and I missed a bunch. Is there a way to do an automatic set up of the files supported by VLC? When I updated iTunes it automatically set the video files to QuickTime.

rightklick on the file u wish to open always with vlc


open with / standart prog / set ur prog / click the DOT / ready

or reinstall & set all file associations at install stage.

what O/S are you using ?
