Volume control using cell phone

Postby sorryboutthat » 01 Jul 2010 11:31

Hi, I use my good old SE K750i to remote control VLC using bluetooth, it's great when having the TV connected and sitting in the couch :D
The remote is locked to F9 and F10 for volume up/down. If just removing the shortcuts for making bookmarks, this used to work fine, but in the latest release that i just downloaded (1.1.0), for some reason, nothing at all happens when pressing F9 or F10, even though I've set them to control volume up/down and removed the conflicting bookmark shortcuts.
Any ideas what could be causing this? Could it be a bug or something? Or another action having F9 or F10 assigned to it?

F9 and F10 are by default set to Play playlist bookmarks. So Tools -> Preferences and Hotkey and make sure you don't have multiple entries for same keys.

Thank you for the swift reply, but I have removed the default shortcuts for F9 and F10, and it still does not work. :-|

Wow this is a great idea. Some time you must write a tutorial on how you set this up!
