VLC 1.1: Computer hanging issues

Postby mikebald » 30 Jun 2010 22:50

I installed VLC 1.1.0 yesterday and since then I've had a problem where whenever I try to play a video it causes my computer to hang for about 10 seconds before starting. I tried downgrading to 1.0.5 but the problem has persisted. As a note, the problem is now occurring in VLC, Firefox and Media Player Classic - Homecinema. Using VLC / MPC my computer hangs when closing the application. Using Firefox, the computer hangs before the video starts. Any ideas as to what I can try to get things back to normal?

Update your display adapter drivers.

Thanks! That did the trick.
