moire & window size bugs caused by large videos

Hello.
I see horizontal moire effects when playing some MPEG files with a great video size, that is a great number of pixels in a line.
Such as this one :
http://uploading.com/files/e9a1eb5d/moire.ts/
In a recent version of SMPlayer I *think* I see the same artifact, but I can't tell clearly because it is even jagged there...
My video card is Radeon 9600 with some DXVA support for MPEG2 and I'm using WinXP SP2.
I see no problem when I play the file with a proprietary player supporting the hardware mode or using another player with the GABest codec in software mode.
It only happens when I select 'Scale'. My screen resolution is 1024x768 and the size of the above file is larger so it does. If I set my screen to 1280x1024 then the 'Scale' doesn't happen and nor the problem.
Also with my screen resolution (1024x768) I have set VLC at the top left side of the screen with the minimum windows size possible. And this is normally remembered and restored when I exit and run it again. After I play this file, however, when I run vlc again the vertical window size is slightly larger, thus I see some black space for the video area, that I find ugly.
Are this bugs already known?
Thanks.
by the way, since i find the speed of the above site too slow, any suggestion for another site allowing uploads for future use like in this case is welcome, too.

Does same problem happen with all video output modules?

Only Simple DirectMedia Layer and Directx(DirectDraw) work for me. The problem happens with both. In the case of DirectMedia, if I'm not in fullscreen mode the problem does not happen but it's because it's unscaled. Unchecking Overlay doesn't solve the problem, either.
I tried to convert the file to another format using Menu -> Media -> Convert / Save... to see if the problem persists, but I coudn't do it, likely because i'm not experienced with it.

ps: In my previous post, I forgot to mention that I'm using qt4 interface, for the second problem of the arbitrarily changing window size.

Try D3D without YUV-RGB acceleration.

Preferences->Video

Okay, thanks. it's Preferences-Video->Output Modeules->DirectX->Use hardware YUV-RGB conversions, uh?
I tried Direct3d output modules with that grid unchecked, but the video is always absent.

I thought they were the same option because they have the same popup message. I tried the one you said, and the same thing happens.

Can you share a pix of the issue, please?

Only if you tell me a capture tool that works with vlc. I can't with mine. the snapshot made with vlc doesn't show the problem.

Print screen button in keyboard. Then Edit -> Paste in any image processing program (like Paint).
