No video output from some mov files

Hi
I'm having no video from many of mov files (Audio is OK) and I used VLC for that and also tried WMP and both gave me the audio only without video. The codec used in these files is Apple Graphics (SMC). Is there any way to watch the videos? I'm ready to convert them to another format so what program can do the conversion if this method is going to work and allow both video and audio.
