Hotkey change problem in v1.1.0

Postby Male » 28 Jun 2010 13:18

A have a problem with hotkey change. For example I woudl like to use F10 to volume up. If I press it in the Configure hotkeys panel, it writes in the field Unset instead of F10. (previously I remove the F10 from Play playlist bookmark 10)
After that, I try to edit vlcrc file. I wrote F10 in this file, and it looks good, I see it on the Configure hotkeys panel, but it isn't work.
I have the same problem with F2 to F12.
It wasn't a problem in v1.0.5.

And I have an other problem, with Ctrl - p. I set it to Pause, but it only works on full screen... If I press it in a window mode, the Preferencies panel comes up. I tryed to set it Global, but it wasn't help (It's not a new problem, the previous version also made this... but it works in v0.9.x).

It's a problem with my system, or it's a VLC problem? How can I solve this?

(System: Windows 7 Prof. x64 and an ASUS MyCinema P7131 + remote... it has a fixed key binding, so I can't change it.)

And fixed for 1.1.1
Great! But umm... where is it? I see it's in the ftp tree for Linux but not Windows which is where the problem was reported. Since it's now 20 days later, will we Windows users be getting the fix before long? I'm hoping so! Half of my hotkeys are not working either since installing the 1.1.0 update. Z doesn't work, X works fine, C doesn't work, V doesn't work, B works fine, F works fine, Esc works fine, Enter doesn't work and so forth. Should I just go back to 1.0.5 or was it just overlooked that this bug has been fixed and the fix hasn't been made available to users in the last 3 weeks?

babybird: I think, they are waiting for 10.7 ATI driver...

"Therefore, we have been working with AMD on this topic and after common work, we are going to release a new version of VLC, versionned as 1.1.1, that will work with the upcoming ATI Catalyst 10.7 driver." from the main page.

Ah, OK. Not what I'd hoped to hear, but thank you for the info. Looking forward to the update! Now I guess I need to go harass ATI to get their drivers out, even though I'm an nVidia guy. LOL

Oh well, you VLC guys have to do what you have to do, I appreciate the efforts!
