VLC 1.1.0 BUG - "Keep audio level between sessions" setting

I have upgraded from v1.0.5 to v1.1.0 and have noticed that the "Keep audio level between sessions" setting (Tools->Preferences->Audio->Volume) is ignored when you shut down the app. Admittedly, I am having to kill vlc.exe from Task Manager after pressing X on the GUI (other users have already reported that bug), so it's possible that this bug is a consequence?

Yep. Killing causes VLC to be force terminated, so it cannot save that value.

I have the same problem, but with normal close of the vlc. I'm using the 1.1.4 now and still have the same issue. Any way to solve it?
